The Teen/ Young Adult Retreat will allow young people affected by a bleeding disorder across Arizona to build a community within their own age group to share, learn, and discuss the issues they may be facing. We expect about 20 teens/ young adults to join us. This year’s event will be a three-day retreat held on September 29 – October 1, 2023, at Chauncey Ranch in Mayer, AZ.
This event will bring together teens/young adults across Arizona who may have been going to camp their entire lives or just became community members. The kids will include people that have a bleeding disorder and siblings. The retreat’s purpose is for other young people to find a network of people like them to feel empowered, comfortable, and independent as they learn to manage their bleeding disorder or figure out how to support someone with one.
The 2023 Teen Retreat is open to AZBD teen/young adult community members 15- 21 years old.
Registration will open the week of August 7, 2023
