Future Leaders

Future Leaders is a program for teens and young adults in our community who are interested in learning about advocacy. These Future Leaders learn about the history of bleeding disorders, the importance of having a voice about access to quality and affordable healthcare and how to speak with public officials.

In March 2019, the Arizona Hemophilia Association sent 5 young adults between the ages of 17 and 22 from our Future Leaders group to go Washington, D.C. for the National Hemophilia Foundation’s (NHF) Washington Days. We helped spread the word about Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month and used our social media skills to reach even more people with our message.

Who can apply?

Young adults between the ages of 17 and 22 in good standing at the Arizona Hemophilia Association and either have a bleeding disorder, are a carrier, or are a spouse/sibling/child/parent of someone who has a bleeding disorder qualify.

Are you afraid of missing school?

The AHA can work with your school to help you get time off to go on this trip.

Thank you to this years Sponsors!
