Richard Lemons, MD, PhD is the medical director and professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Utah. Dr. Lemons received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed a residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a fellowship in cancer biology research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and a fellowship in tumor cell biology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He also has a PhD degree in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. He is currently a principal investigator for several clinical studies related to pediatric malignancies and pediatric investigator for several clinical studies related to pediatric malignancies and pediatric hematologic disorders, including a gene therapy study for hemophilia B.
